About the Owner of Maternal Source
I would like to introduce myself to all visitors and new customers of Maternal Source. My name is Maryanne Zuzak and I love supporting and working with mothers and professionals in the area of Maternal Care. My goal is to provide top quality products and information to families during the childbearing years. For professionals and specialists working in the area of pregnancy, childbirth and lactation, you will find very useful products, tools and supplies that will assist you to provide expert care for your clients.
A little bit about myself:
I have been interested, you could even say passionately interested, in
the area of pregnancy, childbirth, lactation and parenting for many years. The
interest started in my university years in Physical Education(Kinesiology)where the physiology of pregnancy and childbirth totally fascinated me. I have
given birth myself four times and have loved the experience of nurturing and
raising my children.
I have been practicing as a doula/birth attendant since October, 2000 with my
business partner Carol Thompson. Carol and I operate
Birthwise Prenatal and Doula Services. To compliment these
services, I decided to add the venture of a website store, Maternal Source.
I am also a Certified Childbirth Educator through the Association
of Labour Assistants and Childbirth Educators(ALACE),
and a facilitator for Mother & Baby Wellness
Professional Courses .
I am a strong advocate for informed choice and very respectful of individual
choices that women and their families make in childbirth options.
I am a retired
La Leche League Leader
where I spent many hours volunteering for this great organization. I have
been very blessed to have had the opportunity to support and assist women breastfeed their babies
for just over 5 years.
Personally, I love to travel, play floor hockey, hike in the mountains and swim
in lakes and oceans.
